Behaved Dog Training Co. is a family-owned, North Texas training team dedicated to strengthening dog-owner relationships through clear communication, proven methods like the NePoPo® system, and lifelong support.
Meet Sierra - Owner, Instructor & Head Trainer
Hi there! I'm Sierra - a wife, mama to two beautiful little girls, dog-mom to Moose, and lover of all things dogs, family, and good food. My husband and I actually met in culinary school (we still love cooking together when life slows down!), but before long, I found myself totally hooked on dog training.
I started back in 2018 with my very first dog, learning from established trainers and soaking up every bit of knowledge I could.
Along the way, I became a certified Humane E-Collar Trainer and earned my NePoPo® Silver and Gold certifications.
I created a dog training curriculum designed to teach new trainers and mentor them, ensuring they start with the right knowledge and skills in dog training.
Here on our little piece of land in North Texas, we built Beehaved Dog Training Co. — where I specialize in everything from pet obedience to aggressive behavior modification to raising personal protection dogs.
But at the end of the day, my mission is simple: teaching owners how to really communicate with their dogs so they can enjoy life together to the fullest.
It’s a full, happy life out here with my husband, our girls, and Moose — filled with family, food, laughter, and lots (and lots!) of dogs. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Led by Sierra, a Certified Humane E-Collar Trainer and holder of NePoPo® Silver and Gold certifications, we bring advanced knowledge and balanced methods to every dog we work with.
Katie Abraham - Fear & Anxiety Specialist
Katy’s love of dogs started early on with her family. They always had a small Munsterlander as a family pet and working bird dog. This spirited and highly intelligent breed sparked a love of working together with dogs and understanding communication between dogs and their people.
When Katy got her first working dog, he began to experience reactivity. This was the spark that led her to begin diving deeper into the dog training world to better understand fear and anxiety in dogs and how to overcome these obstacles.
Years later, she now specializes in rehabilitating dogs with fear, anxiety and aggressive behavioral concerns. Her main goal is to improve communication between owners and their dogs and to build confidence on both sides no matter what breed or behavioral issues the dog is facing.
Katie Hollander - Behavior Modification Expert
Katie has been passionate about animals her entire life! She rode and competed with her horses as a young girl and participated in the FFA throughout high school learning to raise, care for and show livestock.
Katie's love of dog training began when her parents found a little puppy on the side of the road! She ended up earning trick titles, CGC, CGC Urban and barn hunt titles with this dog. She began mentoring a local trainer who encouraged her to begin training professionally.
After years of learning and working with hundreds of dogs Katie now specializes in behavior modification and has a passion for rehabilitating dogs with fear, anxiety and aggression and teaching their owners how to be successful together.
Jessica Evans - Board & Train Specialist
Jess is one of our in home evaluators and board and train trainers! You’ll notice right away that Jessica has a natural connection with dogs.
Her passion for understanding how they think and learn started young and turned into a full-time calling after fostering a rescue with serious behavioral issues in 2017. That moment led her to leave a career in real estate and train alongside professional dog trainers.
Since then, she’s helped dogs of all personalities—from energetic puppies to anxious or aggressive adults. Jessica especially enjoys working with shy or fearful dogs and young pups, using personalized, balanced training to help them gain confidence. Her focus is on empowering you with the tools and understanding to lead your dog with calm, clear communication.
Kelsey Klongland - Certified K9 Handler
Kelsey's passion for dogs led her to witness the impact of training on her own dogs and those of her loved ones. This sparked her desire to dedicate her life to fostering trust-based relationships between people and their dogs. She believes every family deserves a well-behaved dog, and every dog deserves guidance to reach its potential.
As a certified Explosive Detection K9 handler, Kelsey works closely with local law enforcement K9 units, gaining valuable insights into working breeds' and how to meet the needs of every caliber of dog. Kelsey's expertise extends to all dogs, with a soft spot for puppy development. She emphasizes early training, socialization, and clear communication for a lifetime of success.
Kelsey's dedication shines whether she's working with puppies, rescues, adult dogs, or working breeds. She strives to bring out the best in every dog (and human) she trains.
